Graduate HR Technician Part Time Position
Essential Functions:
The Graduate intern will be primarily responsible in assisting the Assistant Director with the Ford BOIC Internship Program and Career Planning and Placement functions.
• Attend FORD BOIC meetings as needed
• Assist with the student nonprofit paperwork process under the direction of the Assistant Director
• Post approved nonprofit job descriptions
• Review student applications for the FORD BOIC internships
• Conduct workshop presentations to enhance students resume and cover letter writing, as well as interviewing and networking skills
• Review student documents (cover letters and resumes) for approval
• Other general duties such as: Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and welcome and greet students, employers, and faculty
• Other duties may be assigned by the Director and Assistant Director
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required, with concentration in business or similar ideal. – Graduate student with focus in business, human resources, or higher education/student affairs preferred(MBA, MA, or MED)
• Experience with using Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Good communication skills, and comfort presenting to small and large groups
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Willingness to be flexible to tasks that change frequently
Hourly:
Part time (20 hours/week)
Salary:
$13-$14/ hour
