COB-Internship@umd.umich.edu Oakwood Hospital Public Relations/Project Management Intern · Help develop and maintain data base of doctors who served their residency with the Event Founder. · Consult physician databases to find contact information. · Develop Oakwood’s relationship with current and potential donors and graduates of Oakwood Hospital Medical Education. · Research names and addresses of former Oakwood Hospital Residents. · Help design invitations and save-the-date notifications · Make phone calls to selected invitees just before event. · Assist with participant registration at the event on August 18 Desired skills and characteristics: Project management and attention to detail Contemporary business communication skills Ability to keep confidences Creativity Enthusiasm Use of Excel MISSION: Gain strategic and executional philanthropic experience by working directly with Event Founder and team to plan and execute 2013 The Arthur Victor Memorial Grass Court Tennis Tournament. Part Time Internship at Canton's Public Library

Marketing Intern Position The Canton Public Library’s internship program offers paid, practical experience for students. Under the management of the Department Head of Community Relations, the Marketing Intern is responsible for communications efforts, including marketing, advertising and public relations, and tracking of such. The Marketing Intern will work closely with the Community Relations Department Head and Programming Specialists to develop a marketing approach for planned library programs and services. Marketing Intern positions are reserved for students currently enrolled in a journalism, communications or marketing program at an accredited college or university. Academic credit may be earned. This position is classified as a temporary part-time position and is non-exempt from overtime and provides no benefits afforded to employees classified as "regular." The nature of the work may require daytime, evening, and weekend hours. This is a 12-hour per week position that will end December 31, 2013. Description: Assist Community Relations Department Head in marketing library programs, services and outreach. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties as assigned. Maintain media contact list, assist with media outreach. Write press releases, e-newsletter and blog content. Develop flyers, forms, displays and presentations. Employ social media and track statistics and outcomes. Prepare media packets for Library Board meetings. Work with library partners. Compile, review and/or interpret statistical data. Independently, or with others, research, recommend, implement and monitor projects as assigned. Serve on workgroups/committees and participate in library initiatives as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Current enrollment in a journalism, communications or marketing program from an accredited college or university. Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically. Working knowledge of common computer applications, including Microsoft Office, the Internet and social media. Ability to complete special projects while maintaining routine duties. Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment. Ability to collaborate in a team environment. Superior interpersonal and communications skills. Punctuality and dependabilty. Preferred Qualifications: Coursework related to marketing, journalism and/or communications. Examples of press releases or other marketing communications. Essential Functions: Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 25 lbs. and push carts weighing up to 200 lbs. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time, and the ability to bend, reach, stoop, or crouch when assisting patrons. Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing which permits the employee to communicate in writing and verbally. Sufficient vision which permits the employee to produce and review a wide variety of materials in both electronic and hard copy form. Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions in a fast-paced environment. 97.1 The Ticket 2012 Winter Internship Job Title: Marketing and Promotions Intern Job Description: 97.1 The Ticket is looking for friendly, outgoing and responsible people to become marketing and promotions interns. This is an unpaid position. Candidates should expect to work 15-20 hours per week and be willing to work weekdays as well as some evenings and weekends. Duties will include working in office and at off-site station events.
